The car you see in the photos below is based on the John Cooper Works version of the three-door Mini hatch. It is a heavily upgraded version of the stock car, modified for better track performance and inspired by the two race cars used by the Bulldog Racing team at the legendary track. For starters, an adjustable KW V3 suspension replaces the factory suspension, which was tuned at the Nürburgring and is said to provide better handling.
While there are no modifications under the hood - the 2.0-liter turbocharged mill there still produces a peak output of 231 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque - the engine has been fitted with a new exhaust system by Remus. The four-pot's power is still sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission, but the original wheels have been replaced with 17-inch OZ HyperGT wheels wrapped in 205/45 R17 Pirelli P Zero tires.

Of course, there are visual tweaks to match the performance upgrades. For example, the hatchback has lost its rear seats and there is a mesh and carpet strut brace to reduce weight. There's also an individually numbered plaque under the handbrake lever, which matches the exterior badging that identifies the special edition model. A Bulldog Racing roof wrap completes the design changes from the standard JCW.
The Mini JCW Bulldog Racing Edition can be purchased from a Mini dealer, or customers can take their older Mini cars to Bulldog Racing for upgrades.
