In January 2023, the Kia EV6 won the 2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) award. To commemorate this important event, Kia America debuted a limited edition EV6 at the Quail Motorsports Gathering.

Only 1,000 units will be produced for the special edition. Kia is featuring a model-specific paint called Deep Forest Green to set it apart. According to Kia America, the EV6 will include black exterior elements such as wheel arches, side skirts, and mirrors, which are borrowed components from the EV6 Wind variant.

The limited-run electric crossover will adopt the 20-inch alloy wheels and sunroof from the EV6 GT-Line. According to Kia America, the limited-run electric crossover will showcase NACTOY medallions and a preview silhouette of the vehicle located near the gear selector.

The special edition EV6 will be powered by motors from the all-wheel-drive GT-Line. The front and rear motors produce a total output of 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet (605 Newton-Meter) of torque. These motors receive energy from the 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery that Hyundai Motor Group also uses on its other E-GMP-based EVs such as the Ioniq 5 and Genesis GV60.

"We are honored that Kia has chosen to make this special edition vehicle” said Jeff Gilbert, President, North American Car Truck and Utility of the Year, and Auto Reporter for WWJ Radio in Detroit.  “Our jurors were impressed by the styling of the EV6.  They saw the vehicle as evidence that Kia is becoming a force in the EV movement.  It's a vehicle that jurors found superior to other electric vehicles in many ways, including driving dynamics, price and ability to charge quickly."

The prices for the Kia EV6 Limited Edition will be disclosed as the vehicle's on-sale date approaches later this year. Currently, in the United States, the base version of Kia EV6 rear-wheel drive starts at $42,600, while the 576 horsepower GT version costs up to $61,600.
