Gamers and racing enthusiasts can participate in intense racing competitions on some of the most famous racetracks around the world, brought to life through advanced simulation technologies developed by Digital Motorsports. The museum's sim space will feature a race car from Radical Motorsport's collection. Visitors can also experience driving the Radical SR3 XXR vehicle through the racing simulators. The partnership between Radical Motorsport and the Silverstone Museum is solidified by a three-year contract.
The simulator collection allows video game fans to choose their favorite race car and connect with tracks around the world. You can even make a personal profile and try to beat your own lap time records, making it more exciting to come back and play again.
The sim suite is built in cooperation with Radical Motorsport.
“Our newly inaugurated SIM room is a source of immense delight for us. It serves as the perfect platform to showcase our exceptional, cutting-edge simulators, which have already garnered considerable popularity among our esteemed visitors,” Rachel James, the Head of Marketing at Silverstone Museum, comments.
As for Radical, the SR3 XXR that can be driven on high-quality racing simulators in the museum was introduced in December with a new engine. The four-cylinder engine has 232 horsepower and can run on biofuel, making the SR3 XXR the first Radical model that can do so. The engine was designed and developed entirely in-house.
