From August 25 to September 3, Nissan will showcase its all-electric Nissan Townstar EV van equipped for camping at the 2023 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany. The van features a practical kitchen unit and is complemented by a practical roof tent, among other features.

The camping configuration is specifically tailored for the electric version of the high-roof van. This includes the Irmscher i-BOX kitchen module at the rear of the vehicle, which can be flexibly installed or removed. The kitchen unit comes with a two-burner gas stove, a sink with water hookup, and a cooler with a 14-liter capacity. There are also drawers for kitchen tools and a drawer that includes knives and a workspace. The modules for the sink, stove, and refrigerator can be easily detached and reinstalled with minimal effort.

The Maggiolina Airlander Plus Black rooftop tent offers a sleeping area of 130 x 210 centimeters and can be easily raised using a crank. Access to the interior of the rooftop tent is through one of its two doors, and can be reached via an adjustable aluminum ladder. The tent is equipped with mosquito nets on all openings, noise-reducing interior lining, and a convenient ceiling light.

In addition, the camping version of the Nissan Townstar EV van comes with 18-inch wheels in the new Cross Design and all-weather tires. The electric engine delivers 90 kW (122 hp) and produces 245 Nm of torque. The 45-kWh battery can be charged with alternating current (up to 22 kW) or direct current through the vehicle's CCS port. The latter allows for charging from 15% to 80% in just 37 minutes. A model with a 22-kW charging system also features a heat pump that efficiently warms the interior of the vehicle. Additionally, a battery cooling system that enhances the lifespan of the driving battery is included.

Alongside the Townstar EV van with camping features, Nissan is also showcasing the Campervan Primastar – Seaside by Dethleffs in Düsseldorf, for which a special trade fair offer is available upon contract signing.
