Ahead of the world premiere of the new generation Kodiaq and Superb, Škoda unveils their completely redesigned interiors with a digital cockpit, head-up display and 13-inch free-standing infotainment display. The DSG gear selector has been moved to the steering column.

Before their official debuts set for the upcoming fall, the forthcoming Skoda Superb and Kodiaq have exposed their revamped dashboards, blending both modern and classic elements. In line with many other recent models, these cars also feature a large screen. However, there's a combination of traditional buttons accompanied by three rotatable knobs that include 1.25-inch (32-millimeter) built-in displays. Referred to as Smart Dials, these knobs allow for various adjustable settings.

The capabilities of these mini displays vary according to the equipment package. The two outer rotating buttons manage the cabin temperature and control the seat heating or cooling for both the driver and the front-seat passenger. The middle knob performs multiple functions like controlling volume, adjusting fan speed, setting air flow direction, enabling smart AC, zooming in/out the map, and toggling driving modes. Pressing down on this central dial permits the user to shift between these functions, and the settings can also be customized via the infotainment menu.

In terms of infotainment, both the 2024 Superb and Kodiaq come equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen, a 10-inch digital gauge cluster, and a supplementary head-up display. A notable shift from the previous model is the relocation of the gear selector, which now sits on the steering column. This change has allowed Skoda to declutter the space between the front seats, enhancing storage possibilities.

To distinguish between the two, the Superb features vertical fins on its dashboard and concealed air vents, while the Kodiaq showcases more leather on the passenger-side dashboard along with upright vents. An LED ambient light strip is positioned below the central air vents in the liftback/wagon and above them in the SUV. Both models come with a rearview mirror USB-C port and offer 15W wireless smartphone charging, with the Kodiaq additionally providing active cooling for two gadgets.

True to Skoda's characteristic design, there’s a specialized section in the front door for storing an umbrella. Additional amenities include up to four 45W USB-C outlets, a built-in ice scraper, environmentally-friendly massaging seats, and upholstery crafted entirely from recycled polyester.

The Superb and Kodiaq are slated for a 2024 market release and are expected to be the last new models from Skoda with internal combustion engines.
