Bentley Batur features a new, high-end audio system called the "Naim for Mulliner". It costs $31,681 and is available exclusively as an optional upgrade for the Batur.

Constructed with 800 distinctive components, the Bentley Batur is a highly unique offering from the car manufacturer. High attention to quality and engineering not only applies to the vehicle's design and mechanical elements but also to its custom audio tech. The luxury automaker is making available the "Naim for Mulliner" audio system for this coupe, with a current price tag of $31,681 (equivalent to 25,000 pounds or 29,175 euros).

This sophisticated 20-speaker audio system consists of six tweeters, nine mid-range units, two woofers, two active bass transducers, and a single subwoofer. The mid-range units and tweeters come with new drivers and incorporate Focal's proprietary M cones. The speaker technology is inspired by Focal’s Grand Utopia series.

Resulting from a collaboration involving 10,000 hours of development between Focal and Naim, the two companies established 56 specific guidelines and suggestions for this audio system. The speakers feature single-piece M cones that deliver stiffness without requiring a dust cap.

The Batur was engineered with the specific placement of these speakers in mind, situated thoughtfully within the car's interior. Enhanced structural support around the doors and the rear of the cabin minimizes audio distortion.

According to Bentley, the "Naim for Mulliner" system represents an extension of their efforts to provide truly unique vehicles. The demand for Bentley's Mulliner sub-brand has surged recently, with a two-fold increase in requests for custom paint and a three-fold surge in bespoke commissions.

Earlier in the year, the manufacturer showcased a variety of customization choices by unveiling four distinct interior and exterior color themes. This presentation also emphasized the Batur’s commitment to utilizing sustainable materials like coffee waste and flax-based products.

The Batur model was first revealed one year ago and completed its development phase in June. Bentley plans to build just 18 of these $2 million cars, each requiring roughly four months of assembly time. Completion is expected by the end of 2024.

Under its hood, the Batur is equipped with Bentley’s signature twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine, which will be the last of its kind for the automaker. The engine delivers 740 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque, after upgrades to the air intake, intercoolers, and turbochargers boosted its output from the original 710 hp. Production for this specific engine will conclude in April 2024.
