Peugeot has called the 2024 model year e-Rifter the new e-Rifter. But in reality we see an updated electric car with evolutionary changes in design and better efficiency.

The Peugeot E-Rifter has been given a substantial refresh, enhancing its appeal for families with a revamped design and the addition of new safety features. From the front, the high-roofed van now sports a more attractive appearance, courtesy of its new LED headlights. Buyers will be pleased to know that the electric model continues to offer two wheelbase options. The standard version measures 4.40 meters in length, while those needing more space can opt for the seven-seat variant, stretching to 4.70 meters, providing ample room inside.

Storage space is versatile, ranging from 775 to 4,000 liters, accommodating either large items or the configurable seven individual seats. The Rifter retains its dual large sliding doors and a tailgate with a separately opening glass section. However, even after the updates, an electric operation for the tailgate and sliding doors is not available.

The interior features a redesigned dashboard complete with animated instruments and a 10-inch central touchscreen that complements voice control functionality. The center console houses an inductive charging pad for smartphones, and there are three USB sockets and a 230-volt outlet to power additional devices.

Powering the E-Rifter is the Stellantis group's standard electric powertrain, which propels nearly all of its vehicles. The front-mounted electric motor delivers 100 kW / 136 horsepower and a peak torque of 270 Nm, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds, with a top speed limited to 135 km/h. The 50 kWh battery pack located under the floor is claimed to offer a range of around 320 kilometers. The maximum charging speed matches the modest top speed at 100 kilowatts. For safety, the vehicle is equipped with an array of driver assistance systems, including an automatic adaptive cruise control and 180-degree cameras.
