This high-end electric vehicle (EV) will offer a choice between a 75.6-kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery and a more powerful 100-kWh ternary Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) pack. Depending on the chosen powertrain, the Zeekr 007 boasts a range between 688 and 870 kilometers.
Part of the Geely Group, Zeekr is an electric brand launched in 2021. It operates in various regions including China, Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The brand has recently commenced deliveries of its first model, the Zeekr 001, in the Netherlands and is gearing up to introduce the Zeekr 007 as the fourth model in its lineup, following the 001, 009, and X models.
Zeekr previously announced that the 007 sedan will come in both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) variants, with power outputs of 310 kW (415 hp) and 475 kW (636 hp) respectively. Further details released by the Chinese regulatory authority shed light on the EV’s powertrain options, revealing two battery choices: a 75.6 kWh LFP and a 100 kWh ternary NMC. The powertrain options include:
- RWD with a 310 kW (415 hp) motor and a 75.6-kWh LFP battery by Quzhou Jidian EV Tech, offering a range of 688 km.
- RWD with a 310 kW (415 hp) motor and a 100-kWh ternary NMC battery from the CATL-Geely joint venture, achieving a range of 870 km.
- 4WD with a 475 kW (636 hp) motor and a 100-kWh ternary NMC battery from the CATL-Geely joint venture, offering a range of 723/770 km depending on selected rims and the optional sport package.
Interestingly, a 4WD version with a 75.6-kWh LFP pack was disclosed in November, but this variant doesn't appear in the latest lineup, suggesting Zeekr may have discontinued it due to its limited range.
The Zeekr 007 is a mid-size sedan, comparable in size to the Toyota Camry, with dimensions of 4865x1900x1450 mm and a wheelbase of 2928 mm. It features a new design language conceived by Stefan Sielaff and the Zeekr Design Center team in Gothenburg, Sweden. Inside, the car boasts a 15.05-inch screen, powered by Kr GPT AI technology and a Snapdragon 8295 chip from Qualcomm.
Leaked information indicates that the Zeekr 007 will be available in four trim levels: WE RWD, ME RWD, ME 4WD, and YOU 4WD, with prices ranging from 224,900 to 334,900 yuan (approximately 31,700 to 47,200 USD). The car is expected to hit the Chinese market in January 2024 and may also be available in Europe the following year.
