Suzuki Jimny, a fan favorite for its off-road capabilities, is gearing up for an exciting transformation just in time for the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon. Japanese tuning specialist DAMD, known for their unique body kits for compact Japanese cars, is set to unveil two striking designs inspired by the legendary European models: the Renault 5 and the Lancia Delta Integrale

DAMD's version of the Jimny, drawing inspiration from the French Renault 5, features a design with a distinctive front end, including headlights and a radiator grille reminiscent of the classic hatchback. The vehicle is fitted with white OZ wheels, adding a rally-ready appearance, and is adorned with a subtle rear spoiler, a nod to the Renault 5’s design. A humorous touch is the decal indicating it's a non-turbo model, contrasting with the turbocharged Renault 5 Turbo.

For those seeking a bolder statement, DAMD presents a Jimny variant influenced by the Lancia Delta Integrale. This reinterpretation captures the Italian rally car's spirit with its quartet of round headlights and yellow fog lights integrated into the front bumper, complemented by a more pronounced rear spoiler.

Despite their rally-inspired aesthetics, these Jimny models maintain their standard powertrains. In Japan, the Suzuki Jimny is equipped with a small 658-cc turbocharged three-cylinder engine, delivering 63 horsepower and 96 Nm (71 pound-feet) of torque. Internationally, it features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 101 hp and 138 Nm (102 lb-ft) of torque.
