AC Schnitzer, a renowned tuning firm, is set to enhance the new BMW 5-Series sedan and Touring models with a range of cosmetic and performance upgrades.

As BMW gears up to introduce the latest M5, AC Schnitzer is also preparing comprehensive tuning packages for the new 5-Series' other variants. These packages will include modifications to the exterior, interior, handling, and performance, with availability starting in 2024.

Offering a glimpse into their plans, AC Schnitzer has showcased initial products, focusing on wheels and spacers. Their website features three wheel designs specifically crafted for the 5-Series, compatible with high-performance tires. These include:

  • The 21-inch AC3 wheels, as displayed in their promotional material
  • The 20-inch AC4 style
  • The classic AC1 style, available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes

These wheel options come with enhancements such as wheel locking sets, bolt covers, and spacers. The spacers add 10 mm (0.4 inches) to the width of the car's front and rear axles.

The upcoming phase will introduce aerodynamic improvements for both the sedan (G60) and Touring (G61) variants. Drawing from previous designs, these upgrades are expected to include a front splitter, aero flicks, side skirts, a rear wing, and an updated diffuser, all complementing the existing M Package. The firm also plans to introduce interior accessories for a sportier feel.

Significantly, AC Schnitzer is developing performance enhancements for the gasoline, hybrid, and diesel versions of the 5-Series. These upgrades will exclude the fully electric i5 model. Along with power boosts, the packages will feature suspension modifications designed to sharpen the handling of both the sedan and wagon models.
