A revamped Tesla Model 3, known as the "Highland," has been seen on American soil. This particular car was spotted recharging at the Firebaugh Supercharger in California, parked alongside Tesla's new Cybertruck.

Tesla hasn't officially launched the Model 3 Highland in the US yet, but its appearance is anticipated soon. Already, several of these updated models have been seen in the country, including the one at Firebaugh.

The spotted Model 3, decked out in a striking Deep Blue Metallic color, was photographed by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley. Its presence next to the futuristic Cybertruck is notable. However, this isn't a consumer-ready version; it's an engineering vehicle, as indicated by a sticker on its left side. Intriguingly, it also sports a badge in Chinese, hinting that this car came from Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai. China, along with Australia and Europe, have already started receiving this new electric sedan.

The Model 3 Highland is set to enhance the all-electric sedan market with its improved features, including a longer driving range. The Long Range AWD version now boasts a WLTP-rated range of 391 miles (630 km) on a single charge, up from 374 miles (602 km). Its charging rate has also improved, gaining an additional 175 miles (282 km) of range in just 15 minutes of charging.

However, we're still waiting for the official specifications for the US variant, including the EPA range estimates, which are typically more stringent. According to Tesla enthusiast Robert Scoble, a company employee mentioned that this updated version might hit the US market in the first quarter of 2024.

As Tesla prepares for the arrival of the Model 3 Highland, they seem to be clearing out existing Model 3 stocks, as seen by recent significant discounts. With the Model 3 set to lose its tax credit eligibility in 2024, we might see higher price tags next year.
