In 2020, Lamborghini introduced a telemetry system via the Unica app with the launch of the motorsport-inspired Lamborghini Huracan STO. Now, this telemetry system takes a significant leap forward with a prototype known as Telemetry X, showcased at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas alongside the Lamborghini Revuelto.

Telemetry X promises to revolutionize driving skill enhancement, even in the absence of a physical coach.

Lamborghini's Telemetry X comprises three key components, developed in collaboration with IT specialist Accenture: the Real Time Remote Garage, the Biometric Data System, and the Digital Co-Pilot.

The Real Time Remote Garage, a 5G-connected web application, provides drivers with access to their on-track performance and telemetry data from anywhere, anytime. Its standout feature is the ability to send images and data to a coach who can offer live feedback while the driver is on the track. This means that drivers can enhance their skills without the need for in-pit discussions, maximizing their on-track time.

For those who prefer reviewing their recordings after a session, the system allows for post-session analysis. This flexibility ensures that even drivers with a poor internet connection or those who prefer concentrated, detailed coaching can benefit without relying solely on memory.

The Biometric Data System captures crucial data like heart rate and stress levels. This data enables a more comprehensive performance evaluation and provides insights on how a driver can refine their training. For instance, if a driver's performance drops after a few high-speed laps, the system might detect that the driver is struggling with sustained G-forces. Alternatively, it may identify moments when the driver's heart rate spikes, suggesting a lack of confidence or commitment at certain corners or during specific accelerations. Furthermore, the system could potentially identify on-track health concerns before they become serious.

The most notable feature is the Digital Co-Pilot, described as a "proactive voice assistant." It analyzes both biometric and vehicle data to offer feedback, including guidance on racing lines and braking points. It also monitors various vehicle parameters such as fluid and brake temperatures, remaining fuel, and tire condition. The provided video showcases how this system can help drivers improve their lap times effectively.

This innovation from Lamborghini promises to redefine the way drivers enhance their skills, utilizing cutting-edge technology and real-time feedback.
