The long-awaited updated Audi Q7 has finally been revealed after months of camouflaged prototype sightings. Audi is set to commence deliveries of this latest addition to their lineup later this year.

The refreshed Q7 represents a substantial facelift rather than an entirely new model. This is notable because the current Q7 has been around since its debut in 2015 for the 2016 model year. Fast forward to 2024, and we are presented with a revised front end featuring a new iteration of Audi's Singleframe grille. It's just as imposing as before, sporting a robust frame with an octagonal pattern inside. The lower fascia now hosts redesigned corner vents with a vertical orientation. While the LED headlights may appear familiar, they come with optional HD Matrix lights featuring laser technology and customizable functions.

Audi introduces these laser headlights as a first for the Q7, offering enhanced visibility with a laser diode integrated into each headlight. They activate when high beams are engaged at speeds exceeding 70 km/h and work in conjunction with 24 LEDs to significantly extend the high beam range. Additionally, the new Q7 offers optional customization features for the daytime running lights, allowing drivers to select from four distinct lighting signatures. This customization extends to the updated LED taillights.

The base model now includes standard contrast stitching, 19-inch wheels, a gloss package featuring aluminum roof rails, and a rearview camera with parking assist plus. For those who prefer more options, Audi offers nine decorative inlays to enhance the interior. The greenhouse remains unchanged, but the exterior welcomes three new colors: Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold, and Chili Red. Wheel options also expand, ranging from 20 to 22 inches.

In terms of technology, the new Q7 now supports third-party apps, including popular services like Spotify, directly through the infotainment system. Additionally, there are new driver-assist features, such as warning displays in the virtual cockpit, alerting drivers to lane changes and maintaining safe following distances, among others.

The powertrain options remain familiar, with a 3.0-liter diesel available in two configurations, producing either 231 or 286 horsepower. A gasoline V6 engine generates 340 hp, while the performance-oriented SQ7 boasts a 507-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, showcasing a sportier design with black trim, oval exhaust tips, and front chin spoiler. The SQ7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

The Audi Q7 is set to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024, with prices starting at 79,300 euros for the 45 TDI quattro, 82,300 euros for the 50 TDI quattro, and 82,500 euros for the 55 TFSI quattro. The sporty SQ7 TFSI comes in at a starting price of 112,000 euros.
