This example of the Jaguar I-Pace has been purchased for the King's personal use and to chauffeur other members of the royal family, including Queen Camilla.
The I-Pace on sale is being touted as the first electric car for the British royal family. The fully loaded I-Pace, which costs around £60,000, was delivered in September 2018. It had a fast charger installed at Clarence House, one of the many official residences of the British royal family in central London.
In terms of specifications, the EV has an all-electric powertrain with 394 horsepower and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. It is also fitted with a 90 kWh battery pack, giving it a range of 292 miles under WLTP standards.

King Charles had the I-Pace repainted from grey to his favourite colour, Loire Blue, making it the only example to be finished in this colour. The EV features a five-seater cabin upholstered in contrasting Light Oyster Windsor leather.
The car was returned to Jaguar in December 2020 after covering approximately 3,000 miles (4,828km). It was later purchased by the current owner, Karen French.

"This I-Pace was exactly what I was looking for and pretty much on my doorstep. It was only when I agreed to buy it that I discovered its extraordinary history, I was absolutely thrilled. Having driven it over 30,000 miles, I decided in the New Year that it was time for a change," said French.
Historics Auctioneers expect the royal car to fetch between £55,000 and £70,000 at Ascot Racecourse on 2 March.
Jaguar is phasing out the I-Pace badge as part of its plan to go all-electric by 2025. However, that, and its unique colour, means the car should have no trouble finding a new buyer.
