Honor and Porsche Design have unveiled a special version of the Honor Magic V2, which is claimed to be the world's thinnest foldable smartphone.

The Porsche variant of the Honor Magic V2, called the RSR, benefits from a number of unique styling touches while retaining the same hardware as the standard device. It went on sale in China in January and will be available in other markets later this year.

The German brand's design studio has created a new shell for the phone, which includes a distinctive 'flyline' inspired by the bonnet of a Porsche 911. In addition, the Honor Magic V2 is finished in a shade of Agate Grey from the Porsche colour palette, and the rear camera housing now features a dark titanium frame with a trapezoidal redesign.

All Magic V2 RSRs will come with a stylus in the box, as well as a protective case. Honor has also equipped the device with 1TB of storage and added an 'anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield' to the screen for improved scratch resistance. The changes made to the Porsche Design version have added 3 grams to the Honor V2 RSR, which now weighs 235 grams.

The Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 16GB of RAM. It has a 7.92-inch foldable OLED screen and a 6.43-inch outer OLED display. Honor has also gone all out with the device's camera setup, installing a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 20-megapixel telephoto camera.

In China, the smartphone will set buyers back 15,999 yuan (~$2,200), but that figure is likely to rise for international markets.
