The YangWang U9 is equipped with a DiSus-X chassis. The DiSus-X suspension can lift each wheel at speeds of up to 500 mm/s for more efficient cornering, starting and braking. In a recent promo video, BYD also showed the U9 dancing. Because of this feature, the supercar has been nicknamed "dancing". In addition, the U9 can also perform a "tank-like" U-turn on the spot.
Under the floor of the U9 is an 80 kWh LFP battery. The range in the Chinese CLTC cycle is 465 kilometres.
BYD has not yet named an exact date for the start of deliveries. According to preliminary information, it will happen in the middle of 2024. The company has already opened the acceptance of pre-orders. A non-refundable deposit of 300,000 yuan ($41,680) is required to place an order.
