Renault and Nissan have announced the development of four new products during a joint press briefing in India. The lineup includes two five-seater SUVs, one from each brand, along with their seven-seater derivatives.

The companies teased the concept form of two upcoming midsize SUVs. These vehicles will use the CMF-B platform. This platform is modular and heavily localized for use by the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The Renault SUV might bear the "Duster" name, taking cues from the new-gen Dacia Duster that debuted in Europe in February 2024. It will feature redesigned headlamps and a restyled front bumper. The Nissan SUV will stand out with L-shaped LED DRLs connected by a light bar across the nose.

The seven-seater variants will have distinctive styling elements and a longer wheelbase. However, they will share the same powertrains as their five-seater counterparts.

The Renault Duster is expected to launch in India by late 2025. The launch sequence will start with the five-seater SUVs, followed by the seven-seater versions. Both brands plan to introduce their products simultaneously. Additionally, there are plans for two more models, though details remain unconfirmed.

These new models from Renault and Nissan will enter a competitive market segment featuring rivals like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, and MG Astor.
