The ADX is rumored to be based on the platform of the Honda HR-V. However, expectations for Acura's new model suggest a more powerful turbocharged engine that surpasses the HR-V's 158-horsepower naturally aspirated inline-four.
According to Emile Korkor, Acura National Sales vice president, "The 2025 Acura ADX will add a fourth SUV to our lineup and a new gateway model ready to build on the incredible success of Integra, helping make Acura a destination brand for a new generation of buyers."
Besides the ADX, Acura has big plans for its lineup with the announcement of the all-electric ZDX and an all-electric version of the three-row MDX. The latter was revealed during a closed-door dealer meeting last week but is postponed to make room for the all-electric ZDX launch. These moves are part of Acura and Honda's broader strategy targeting sales of 800,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in North America by 2030.
