Porsche is teaming up with Swiss furniture maker Vitra to launch a distinctive home decor collection. This unique collaboration brings Porsche's iconic Pepita fabric, known for its houndstooth pattern, into your living room with stylish chairs.

The partnership between Porsche and Vitra includes the creation of three types of chairs: a rolling desk chair, a swiveling armchair, and a plastic side chair. The small houndstooth pattern of the Pepita fabric was initially offered in the classic Porsche 911 and was available by special request for the earlier Porsche 356 models. This marks an interesting merge of automotive luxury and furniture design.

Detailing the specific products in this collaboration highlights their exclusivity and design essence. The Eames Plastic Side Chair by Charles and Ray Eames features a low-cost single-piece backrest in an iconic design priced at around $1,132. Limited to only 1,963 units globally, these will come upholstered in Pepita fabric to complement its historic value.

Another product is the ID Trim L Pepita Edition by Antonio Citterio. It’s a fully upholstered desk chair featuring classic black neck pillow contrasting with the Pepita pattern. Priced at $2,530, about 911 of these chairs will be available from April 22 primarily targeting American markets.

The Petit Repos Pepita Edition armchair is also designed by Antonio Citterio. It combines luxury with an avant-garde appeal costing about $5,179 each with just 99 units set to hit US stores on April 22. It presents a chic black back paired with the timeless Pepita pattern on its front.
