Porsche has announced upgrades to its Cayenne GTS model, boosting performance and adding features, with prices starting at $126,895. The newest iteration of the luxury SUV is non-electrified but receives a significant enhancement in horsepower and torque. Sales of the updated models will commence this fall.

The 2024 Cayenne GTS now sports a twin-turbo V-8 engine that delivers 493 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque—an increase from the previous model's 453 hp and 457 lb-ft. This upgrade allows the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 171 mph. It retains its eight-speed automatic transmission, now programmed for quicker changes in Sport modes.

In addition to mechanical improvements, Porsche has integrated technical upgrades into the Cayenne GTS. It features an advanced pivot-bearing system borrowed from the Turbo GT for precision steering and uses a standard air suspension lowered by 10 mm for improved dynamics. Buyers can also choose optional active roll stabilization and new cooling circuits for enhanced performance handling.

Visual updates are not spared in both the standard SUV and Coupe models. These include enlarged front air intakes, red brake calipers, tinted lights, and an exclusive Sport Design Package with blacked-out detailing and dark bronze exhaust tips. Inside the cabin, luxury continues with suede-like Race Tex microfiber across multiple surfaces and options for personalized color themes.

Pricing starts at $126,895 for the standard Cayenne GTS model and climbs to $131,495 for the Coupe variant. Compared to their top-tier sibling—the Turbo GT Coupe priced at $197,950—these models offer competitive performance enhancements at reduced costs. Dealers anticipate taking orders soon as customer deliveries are slated to begin later this year.
