Skoda has unveiled the first teaser image of its all-new Elroq electric vehicle, introducing the 'Tech Deck' grille and adopting the Modern Solid design language. The Elroq is set for launch in autumn 2024.

The Elroq showcases a refreshed approach with its flatter, wider grille derived from the 2022 Vision 7S concept. This new front face signals a bold direction for future Skoda models. Additionally, the car features the Skoda name in distinct letters across the hood, mirroring styling cues from premium brands like Range Rover. Another notable design element is the split-headlight setup incorporating advanced matrix LED technology.

Regarding size, the Elroq measures approximately 4,500 mm in length, making it comparable to the current Skoda Karoq. It is built on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform dedicated to electric vehicles. The available drive configurations include potentially offering a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive alongside the single-motor option.

Looking ahead, Skoda plans to expand its electric lineup significantly. By the end of 2026, six new all-electric models will join the roster including an envisioned Epiq subcompact SUV at €25,000 aimed for a sales launch in 2025 and electric versions of a Combi wagon and a seven-seat 'Space' SUV scheduled for a 2026 debut. Existing models like Enyaq and its coupe variant are due for a facelift incorporating this new design ethos by 2025.
