The design of the Kia EV3 echos last year's concept vehicle closely with a modern look pioneered by its larger sibling, the EV9. It features slightly tweaked LEDs, revised bumpers, conventional mirrors, and thicker pillars for what Kia describes as enhanced safety and aesthetics. Its sportier GT-Line trim includes distinctly different alloy wheels and more aggressive bumper designs.
In terms of dimensions, the EV3 measures 4,300 mm (169.3 inches) in length and sits comfortably between the e-Soul and e-Niro in size. The vehicle maximizes interior space while maintaining compact dimensions suitable for city driving.
On performance fronts, the Kia EV3 rests on an E-GMP platform with a 400-Volt architecture. The standard model comes with a 58.3 kWh battery, while the Long Range variant upgrades to a larger 81.4 kWh pack. The latter promises a WLTP range of 600 km (373 miles) per charge and features rapid charging capability - from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes at a 128 kW charge rate.
The single electric motor produces 204 hp (150 kW) and 283 Nm (209 lb-ft) of torque. Kia says the EV3 accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 170 km/h (106 mph). In the future, the lineup will expand with the introduction of a performance-focused Kia EV3 GT, featuring power enhancements and chassis upgrades.

The interior design steps into minimalist territory with futuristic nuances, featuring dual 12.3-inch displays for instruments and infotainment plus adaptive climate controls via a five-inch touchscreen. Its cabin boasts recyclable materials emphasizing environmental sustainability while offering modern comforts such as fold-back seats.
The Kia EV3 will debut in Korea this July, then in Europe and the UK in the second half of 2024. It will also be released in North America in late 2025 or early 2026, starting at around $30,000 to $35,000. After the launch, Kia will introduce the EV4 sedan and the EV2 crossover for the European market.
In Europe, the Kia EV3 will compete with the Peugeot E-2008, the Volvo EX30, the Mini Aceman, and the Smart #1.
