Audi has introduced the RS Q8 Performance, now the most powerful combustion SUV in their lineup. Unveiled nine months after the facelift of the Audi Q8, this new model is remarkable not only for its enhanced specifications but also for setting a new lap record at Nurburgring Nordschleife of 7:36.698.

The base model, the RS Q8, features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that outputs 600 PS and 800 Nm and reaches 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The more advanced RS Q8 Performance boosts power output to 640 PS and 850 Nm from the same size engine, achieves a top speed of 280 km/h, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in an impressive 3.6 seconds. It also offers an upgraded exhaust system tailored to enhance engine sound significantly.

In transmission and handling, both models come equipped with an eight-speed Tiptronic system and permanent Quattro all-wheel drive. Features include adaptive air suspension which allows adjustable ride height up to 90 mm, and all-wheel steering as standard beginning with these 2025 models. Electromechanical active roll stabilization further contributes to smooth driving by reducing body tilt during turns.

When it comes to stopping power and wheels, the RS Q8 sports front brakes providing stopping force via 420 mm discs and rear brakes of 370 mm discs coupled with ten-piston calipers. The RS Q8 Performance gets 440 mm front and 370 mm rear carbon ceramic brake discs as standard. The Performance is also available exclusively with a set of 23-inch light-alloy wheels that are lighter than the standard 22-inch shoes.

Visual appeals are boosted by multiple paint options including Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red with exterior elements such as gloss black or matte carbon finish depending on the model choice. Inside, buyers can expect high-quality materials like Alcantara for steering wheels and Dinamica microfiber for center consoles alongside perforated sports seats.

For potential buyers across Europe where launch occurs this month, pricing starts at €141,900 for the RS Q8 and ramps up to €155,700 for the RS Q8 Performance variant.
