Polestar is set to impress at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, showcasing its updated 2 sedan, the new 3 and 4 crossovers, and a striking new concept that previews a next-generation performance car, the Polestar Concept BST.

The BST concept takes its cues from the 2022 O2 concept, which will eventually lead to the production of the Polestar 6 convertible. This latest concept enhances the sports car’s performance-oriented design with flared arches, an aggressive front end, 22-inch wheels, BST livery over silver paint, and a massive rear wing.

While powertrain specifics have not been disclosed, expectations are high given the performance of the production Polestar 6, which will feature 884 hp. A BST variant could potentially offer up to 1,000 hp and a 0-100 km/h time of under three seconds, similar to the upgrades seen in the Polestar 2 BST version.

The static Concept BST will be displayed alongside the Polestar 6, which will tackle the Goodwood hill climb for the first time. The Polestar 6 is scheduled for a 2026 release and will utilize the new Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA), which will also be the foundation for the 5 sedan, Polestar’s competitor to the Porsche Taycan.

Initial production of the Polestar 6 will be limited to 500 units in the first year. However, CEO Thomas Ingenlath has committed to continuing production as long as there is demand. The final production version of the Polestar 6 is expected to debut in 2025, possibly alongside a performance-oriented BST version.
