The new Q6 e-tron comes with a smaller battery pack. It's got 10 modules instead of 12, with a gross capacity of 83 kWh and a usable capacity of 75.8 kWh. That's less than the standard battery's 100 kWh gross and 94.9 kWh net. Even with the smaller battery, Audi says the car can go up to 533 kilometers on a single charge, based on the WLTP test cycle.
Charging won't be a problem for this base model. It can handle DC fast charging at up to 225 kW, which means you can juice it up from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. If you're charging at home, the onboard 11 kW AC charger will fill up the battery in about 8 hours.
Under the hood, or rather at the rear axle, there's a permanently excited synchronous motor. It puts out 185 kW of power normally, but can bump that up to 201 kW with launch control. The motor also delivers a hefty 450 Nm of torque.
Audi's made sure the Q6 e-tron is practical too. The boot can hold 526 liters, and there's an extra 64 liters of space in the frunk. If you need to tow, it can handle up to 2,000 kilograms with a braked trailer. The car itself weighs 2,200 kilograms unladen and can carry an additional 540 kilograms.
For those who want something a bit fancier, Audi's offering two special editions. The Edition One Blue starts at €80,000, while the Edition One Grey is slightly cheaper at €78,800. These will only be available for a short time after the market launch.
Right now, Audi's running a promotion. If you order before the end of September, you can get a 4% "advantage bonus," bringing the price down to €61,872.
The Q6 e-tron family now includes this new base model with rear-wheel drive and the smaller battery, a Performance version with rear-wheel drive and the larger battery, and the previously announced all-wheel drive models. All of these are built in Ingolstadt.
