Lettl Transportation took charge of the beer run for the Hofbräuhaus Brewery Munich. The eActros 600, hooked up to a tank semitrailer that can hold 27,500 liters, made its rounds on three evenings. It started at the brewery, headed to Theresienwiese, and made four stops at the Hofbräu tent to unload its liquid gold cargo.
But that's not all. The eActros 600 also helped out with pretzel deliveries. The Höflinger and Müller bakery set up shop at an extra bakery on the Olympic terrain, working two shifts to keep up with demand. The electric truck, this time with a refrigerated semitrailer, made sure those pretzels got to the fest fresh and crispy.
The eActros 600 for long-distance haulage celebrated its world premiere end of 2023. It's packing some serious power with over 600 kilowatt hours of battery capacity. On a single charge, it can go 500 kilometers. Add in some pit stops for charging, and it'll cover well over 1,000 kilometers in a day.
This electric beast can haul up to 40 tons and isn't shy about showing off its muscles. It's got a sleek, minimalist design with clear lines and an aerodynamic shape that turns heads. When it comes to juicing up, the eActros 600 can handle CCS charging up to 400 kW. But Mercedes-Benz Trucks is looking ahead, planning for even faster megawatt charging in the future.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks will celebrate the start of series production of the eActros 600 at the end of November this year at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth. The first eActros 600 customer vehicles will be manufactured and registered before the end of 2024.
