Cupra's new electric hatchback, the Raval, has been spotted near Nurburgring. The prototype sports updated camouflage, suggesting it's in the final stages of development before its 2025 debut.

The Raval, a fully electric subcompact hatchback, looks like a baby Porsche Panamera from the front. It's got sharper styling cues than its bigger sibling, the Cupra Born, drawing inspiration from the UrbanRebel concept shown in 2022.

Cupra's designers have worked hard to make the Raval stand out. They've given it aero-friendly alloy wheels, flush door handles, and an integrated rear spoiler. The new camouflage wrap, featuring black-and-white decals scattered over the production body panels, emphasizes some parts while hiding others.

The Raval will use the VW MEB Short platform. The base model will likely pack a 226 hp electric motor, while rumors suggest an all-wheel-drive version might pump out 340 hp. Buyers will likely get to choose between 38 kWh and 56 kWh battery options, with a maximum range of about 440 km.

Production of the Cupra Raval is expected to start next year in Pamplona, Spain, alongside the VW ID.2 and Skoda Epiq.

Cupra wants to position the Raval as an affordable yet edgy EV, with prices starting around €25,000 ($28,000). It'll go up against rivals like the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric and Alpine A290.
