Compared to the previous generation, the new Kodiaq RS is even sportier thanks to its design and technical upgrades. The 2.0 TSI EVO petrol engine delivers 195 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque - that's 15 kW more than its predecessor. As a result, the new Kodiaq RS with all-wheel drive and DSG automatic transmission accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds and continues to accelerate to a top speed of 231 km/h.
Škoda Kodiaq RS
Škoda says overall handling is better because the new Kodiaq RS has both progressive steering and the advanced DCC+ adaptive suspension with a wider range of settings than the first generation. In addition to Sport mode, the driver can choose from a wide range of suspension and handling settings: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual and Snow. The Kodiaq RS also has a dedicated off-road mode.
The car's sportiness is evident elsewhere. The Dynamic Sound Boost function provides a special sound experience, while Škoda Design specialists have worked hard on the car's appearance. The second-generation Kodiaq RS has all the typical glossy black RS elements, such as the grille frame, door mirror caps, upper part of the window frames, roof rails and, most importantly, the distinctive D-pillar that is characteristic of the second-generation Kodiaq. The new front bumper and the Škoda logo on the rear door are also finished in glossy black.
An eye-catching new feature is the illuminated grille, but the Kodiaq RS also gets new RS logos on the grille and on the fifth door. The RS version has exclusive wheels: 20-inch Elias wheels come as standard, again with a glossy black finish. The brake calipers are in contrasting red. Eight body color options are available, including the stunning Bronx Gold metallic.
Inside, there are two variants to choose from. The standard trim is RS Suedia, while RS Suite is available as an option. In both versions, customers get sporty front seats with integrated headrests and contrasting red stitching; in the Suedia version, the seats are upholstered in a combination of perforated Suedia material and artificial leather, while the RS Suite version features natural leather. The dashboard and door panels are also trimmed in the appropriate material for each variant.
Other sporty details include the three-spoke steering wheel (also with red stitching), steel pedals and black headliner. The RS logo is also proudly displayed inside the car, for example on the infotainment display.
The second generation Kodiaq RS is well equipped. A 10-inch virtual cockpit is standard, while the infotainment display is 13 inches. The sports seats always have electric controls, with heating and memory functions, and ventilation enhances the RS Suite seats. Rear seats are heated. The high-end Canton sound system is also here.
Advanced features such as the KESSY Advanced system, which automatically unlocks and locks the car as the driver approaches or leaves, are standard. High-tech Matrix LED headlights greet the driver with light animations when the car is unlocked. DCC+ adaptive chassis control is another feature that customers will appreciate.
