The new T-Roc looks more distinctive thanks to a new front grille, slimmer headlights and LED panels at the front and rear. The appearance of this T-Roc is in harmony with the recently updated Passat, Tiguan and Golf.
The new model is expected to be based on the MQB Evo platform and share technical solutions with other Volkswagen models.
As with the updated Golf, the T-Roc will be offered with petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains. The base models will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. The T-Roc is also expected to receive a plug-in hybrid system for the first time - a 1.5-litre 150 hp engine paired with a 116 hp electric motor and a 19.7 kWh battery. In the case of the Golf, this system provides a range of 143 km on electric power.
An electric version of the T-Roc is not yet expected. Instead, Volkswagen plans to fill this segment with a model based on the MEB platform in 2026.
The official debut of the new model is scheduled for the coming months, and deliveries in the UK should begin by the end of 2025.
