Lexus NX Overtrail: increased ground clearance, knobby tyres and wood inlays in the cabin

The European division of Lexus supported the fashion for "off-road" versions of road models and introduced the NX Overtrail.

The main changes in the Overtrail compared to the standard versions of the NX are new Dunlop Grandtrek tyres, 18-inch wheels and an additional 15 mm of ground clearance. The increased ground clearance, barely visible in official photos, but globally it is still the same crossover, which is more accustomed to car parks near shopping centres than to mountain passes.

Lexus has also added a lot of black decor: blacked-out discs, roof rails, door handles, mirror housings, grille. A new Moon Desert shade has been added to the body colour palette. In the interior - black synthetic leather with "sand" inserts and wooden covers on the door panels. In addition, a special Trail for driving on unstable surfaces has been added to the list of transmission modes.

Mechanically, the car is unchanged. The NX Overtrail is available in all-wheel drive versions of the NX 350h (hybrid), NX 450h+ (plug-in hybrid) and in some markets also in the NX 350 (petrol). In Germany, prices for the Lexus NX Overtrail 350h start at €72,700, while the NX 450h+ has a minimum price tag of €73,740.
