The dimensions of the new model have not changed - the length remains at 4.60 m, as in the previous generation. But the design has become noticeably more aggressive: the new front end with V-shaped optics, a massive grille and a redesigned logo evokes the older Land Cruiser. The rear end retains its continuity, but has thinner lights that extend into the boot lid and visually widen the body.
The interior has undergone a digital transformation. The driver is now greeted by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, with a 12.9-inch touchscreen multimedia system in the centre. The latter is based on the new Arene platform with integrated support for Google navigation, customisable menus and accelerated software updates over the air.

The main technical innovation of the PHEV version is a 22.7 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides up to 100 km of electric range on the WLTP cycle. The battery has been developed with Toyota's experience in the field of electric vehicles and supports accelerated charging: it can be charged from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes when connected to a 50 kW DC charger. The on-board AC charger has also been updated: its power now reaches 11 kW, which is twice as much as the previous model, and allows it to be fully charged in just three hours.

The output of the electric motors has also been increased. The front motor now delivers 150 kW (+16 kW compared to the previous version), and the AWD-i all-wheel drive system provides a total output of 304 hp (DIN), allowing acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. Toyota also offered a front-wheel drive PHEV version for the first time, developing 268 hp.
The next-generation RAV4 conventional (self-charging) hybrid has also been upgraded: the transmission, control unit, battery and other components have been updated. The power output of the all-wheel drive system is now 191 hp, and in the front-wheel drive version - 183 hp.
The start of sales of the new generation Toyota RAV4 is scheduled for spring 2026. Prices have not yet been announced, but the current version of the RAV4 starts at €40,990.
