Toyota has introduced the new Land Cruiser Hybrid. This is the most powerful version of the LC 300 to date, delivering a total of 457 hp and 790 Nm of torque.

Under the hood of the SUV is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine, assisted by an electric motor. The new modification comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.

Detailed specifications are still kept secret, however, Toyota Australia has indicated that the hybrid model will outperform the diesel version in towing capacity. However, there is one small compromise: the hybrid version will be equipped with a 68-liter fuel tank. The standard gasoline version has an 80-liter tank.

The hybrid can be visually identified by the updated front bumper with modified air intakes, as well as the "HEV" badge on the rear door. The battery is charged from energy recovery during braking, so there is no charging port cover like on plug-in hybrids.

Interior differences are limited to the graphics of the digital instrument panel, characteristic of Toyota hybrid models. Toyota has not provided the trunk volume, so it is unclear whether it has decreased. However, a socket has appeared in the trunk.

The partially electrified SUV was presented in the Middle East, but it is expected to launch in other markets in the near future. In the United Arab Emirates, the Land Cruiser Hybrid is already available for order at a starting price of 389,900 AED (106,200 USD) for the VXR trim and 409,900 AED (111,600 USD) for the GR-Sport trim.

The model is also confirmed for Australia, where it will appear in the first half of 2026. There is a possibility that Toyota will bring the hybrid Land Cruiser to the Japanese market in the near future.
