The system continues to plot routes considering optimal travel time, selecting fast and reliable charging stations. The priority is Rivian Adventure Network and compatible Tesla Supercharger stations. Moreover, each charging station now receives a rating based on feedback and real data from other Rivian vehicles, so drivers won’t arrive at a non-working terminal.
At the same time, Rivian has not abandoned its own features for electric vehicles. All familiar tools, like range estimation upon arrival, remain. But now they work more accurately: navigation takes into account the outside temperature, driving style, active energy consumers, and even a trailer, if there is one.
Improvements have also touched on searching. Now, you can simply tap on a point on the map - a restaurant, park, shop - and instantly see hours of operation, photos, and ratings. All of this on the familiar satellite map from Google. And if a faster route appears, navigation will immediately propose an alternative path.
The new system is available not only in cars but also in the Rivian mobile app. Planning a trip has become more convenient: just create a route at home and send it directly to the car.
