Ferrari announced in the US a recall of 552 units of the Purosangue crossover due to a potential fault in the braking system.

According to documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there is a possibility of contact between the power supply cable of the fuse box and the front passenger footrest. This could lead to a short circuit and a decrease in braking effectiveness.

To rectify the defect, Ferrari will install an additional insulating element. The company notes that the risk of fire or electric shock is absent. Cars produced after February 2025 are already equipped with revised parts.

The recall affects models from the 2023-2025 model years. Meanwhile, 2025 model year cars produced after the upgrade are not included in the campaign. Official notifications for owners will begin to be sent out in September.

The Ferrari Purosangue is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 715 hp. The front axle is fitted with 15.7-inch brake discs, while the rear has 15-inch discs. This is the first recall action for this model, and at the time of publication, there were no official complaints from owners listed in the NHTSA database.

The most frequently recalled Ferrari model remains the 1995 F355, for which six recalls were announced at one time.
