The famous battery manufacturer will invest £200 million over ten years to create a network of charging stations with a capacity of up to 1000 kW. The first six sites will open in the UK in 2025.

Duracell has announced the launch of its subsidiary Duracell E-Charge, a nationwide network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles in the UK. Network deployment will begin this year and continue into 2026. The operator will be Elektra Charge.

The charging hubs will be designed and funded by the British charging infrastructure developer, The EV Network. This company also operates its own charging network, covering 43 locations with more than 300 charging stations.

Duracell E-Charge stations will be deployed in strategic locations such as highways, shopping and entertainment facilities, and city entrances.
