The first photos of the new MG S6 EV have leaked online thanks to safety tests as part of the Euro NCAP program, before the official presentation.

The crossover bears a strong visual similarity to the smaller S5 EV: low-placed headlights and narrow triangular daytime running lights at the front, a continuous light strip at the rear. Inside, a digital dashboard and a steering wheel seem to be installed, similar to the S5.

The safety organization states the vehicle's curb weight as 1908 kg and confirms that it is a rear-wheel-drive model. A single electric motor on the rear axle is likely to be used, similar to the S5. It might be the same motor as in the S5, delivering 228 hp and 350 Nm - sufficient to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in 6.3 seconds, although this time will probably be higher in the S6 due to the additional weight.

It remains unclear whether the S6 will receive a battery with a larger capacity than the S5 with its 62.1 kWh block, which allows a range of 463 km. The competitors of the S6, including Renault Scenic and Nissan Ariya, offer more than 480 kilometers.

The price in the UK is expected to be between the S5 and the new MG IM6, which start at £28,745 and £47,995 respectively.

Regarding the crash test result, the S6 received the maximum five stars from Euro NCAP. 92% for adult passenger protection and 85% for child protection.
