Priced from £37,995 (about €43,100), the MG S6 EV is now on sale in the UK, set to compete with the Škoda Enyaq.

The MG S6 EV is a larger, more practical version of the S5 model. Visually, the new model closely resembles the S5, featuring high-mounted daytime running lights and a split front grille inspired by the MG Cyberster roadster.

The front grille is equipped with active shutters. These shutters, combined with wheel covers, contribute to an increased vehicle range of 48 kilometres.

Inside, the S6 features a 10.25-inch instrument panel display and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Top-spec Trophy models also feature a driver head-up display.

The boot has a volume of 674 litres with the rear seats up, or 1,910 litres with them folded down. There is an additional 124-litre cargo compartment at the front under the bonnet.

Two versions of the MG S6 will be available in the UK: the rear-wheel drive Long Range, which has 244 hp, 350 Nm of torque and a range of 530 km; and the all-wheel drive Dual Motor, which has 361 hp, 540 Nm of torque and a range of 484 km.

In normal driving mode, the Dual Motor operates as a rear-wheel drive car, engaging the front motor only when limited traction or full power is required.

Both versions use a 77 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery. When charging at up to 144 kW, it takes just 38 minutes to recharge from 10% to 80%.

The S6 EV is priced lower than its European competitors, starting from £37,995 (€43,100). For comparison, the starting price of the Skoda Enyaq is £39,010 (€44,265).

The Long Range Trophy version costs £40,995 (€46,520), and the top Dual Motor Trophy model costs £43,995 (€49,925).
