The Spanish brand Cupra has published official photos of the new Raval hatchback. It is still hidden under camouflage, but it will soon become a series production car.

The Cupra Raval EV is built on the updated MEB+ platform of the Volkswagen Group—the same one that will form the basis for the VW ID. Polo, ID. Cross, and Skoda Epic. All four models will be manufactured in Spain, and Cupra not only developed its version but also led the chassis tuning for the entire family. Each brand has its own character, but Raval, unsurprisingly, is the boldest.

With a length of 4 meters, the Raval belongs to the subcompact class, but Cupra insists it is more than just a car for school runs. Engineers have reduced the ground clearance by 15 mm compared to other cars on the MEB+ platform, stiffened the suspension, and added progressive steering.

Dynamic Chassis Control adaptive dampers are unlikely to be included in the initial configuration. However, even the base models will feature a single front electric motor with a power of 211 hp (155 kW). The battery capacity is not disclosed yet, but the officially stated range is 450 km.

The transition from the base Dynamic configuration to Dynamic Plus adds more ADAS features, intelligent parking, matrix LED headlights, sports seats, and a premium Sennheiser audio system with 12 speakers.

The top version VZ has a more powerful 226 hp (166 kW) motor, an electronic differential, and sports steering. The Raval VZ also receives a 10 mm wider track, standard 19-inch rims with an impressive circular saw-like design, and sports seats with Dinamica material. The downside is that the range will decrease to 400 km.

Sales of the Cupra Raval will start in 2026. The first modifications will cost around 26,000 euros (about 30,000 USD). Cheaper versions with less powerful engines may appear later.
