Mercedes-Benz has revealed all the details about the second generation GLB crossover. As before, it will be available in five-seat and seven-seat versions.

The new GLB inherits the family traits of its predecessor but also has its own features. For example, the front part is equipped with 94 individually animated LED elements. Depending on the market, the central star can be fully or partially illuminated. Hybrid versions received a classic chrome grille with LED light guides.

The front trunk with a volume of 127 liters is intended for transporting small items. The volume of the rear trunk is 540 liters in the five-seat version and 480 liters in the seven-seat. With the backrests folded, the volume increases to 1715 and 1605 liters, respectively. Four child seats can be installed in the second and third rows.

The standard panoramic roof creates a sense of space, and the optional panoramic roof allows for quick switching between transparent and tinted modes. At night, up to 158 illuminated stars can be seen there.

The optional MBUX Superscreen system combines a 26 cm driver display and two 35.6 cm displays for the center console and passenger side under a solid glass surface. The central console is located high and includes an additional storage compartment.

The adaptive suspension with adjustable damper stiffness is standard and is combined with 20-inch wheels. The driver can choose a comfortable or firmer damper setting. The GLB driver assistance system uses a combination of eight cameras, five radars, twelve ultrasonic sensors, and a powerful water-cooled computer that has power reserves for future functions.

In Europe, adaptive cruise control Distronic is standard. Its functions are combined under the name MB.DRIVE, and some of them can be added as digital options and activated later.

In the spring of 2026, two fully electric models will enter the market: GLB 250+ EQ and GLB 350 4MATIC EQ. The first develops a power of 200 kW and has a WLTP cycle range of up to 631 km. The second develops a power of 260 kW.

Both models are equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a usable capacity of 85 kW·h. The 800-volt architecture allows for an increase in range by up to 260 kilometers in just ten minutes under appropriate conditions. The maximum DC charging power at compatible charging stations is up to 320 kW. An additional DC converter allows the use of a 400 V infrastructure, and AC charging is possible with a power of up to 22 kW.

Besides the first models, an electric base version and hybrid modifications with a 48-volt system and an electric motor integrated into the transmission will appear.

Sales in Germany have already started. The GLB 250+ is available at a price starting from 59,048 euros, and the GLB 350 4MATIC — from 62,178 euros.
