Citroën has presented the new ELO concept, which is a logical continuation of the OLI concept car presented in 2022. Both projects were created as idea labs that inspire Citroën to think about the future.

The ELO is conceived as an attractive, versatile, and spacious vehicle—a kind of small home on wheels. According to Citroën, the vehicle feels at home in the city but also invites you to explore beyond its boundaries.

The length of the electric van is 4.1 meters, and the height is 1.7 meters. The vehicle has a flexible interior layout that allows seating for up to six people.

The friendly character of the ELO is highlighted by the orange body color, which transitions from yellow to red depending on the lighting. The interior is also finished in orange.

Citroën has not yet disclosed technical details. The company has only stated that the vehicle is developed on a special electric platform. It might be the STLA Small—after all, partner brand Peugeot recently unveiled a concept car on this platform.

The four side doors open in opposite directions, with no central pillar, resulting in a 1.92-meter-wide opening. Inside, a projection display is located at the bottom of the windshield. According to Citroën, information is displayed on a "transparent film," creating the impression that it floats above the hood. This is a further evolution of the SmartBand displays seen in the Citroën Oli.

There is no instrument panel: all controls are located on the steering wheel, which is flattened at the top and bottom. Elements resembling joysticks are located on the left and right, allowing for control of additional functions.

The driver's seat is centrally positioned—it can be rotated for conversation or work. Behind it are three rear seats. Two additional seats can be folded diagonally behind the driver's. Moreover, seating configurations are available that allow the vehicle to be transformed into a sleeping place for two or a home theater.

The three rear seats are removable and can be used as outdoor seating. Hooks are located on all four doors, allowing a fabric roof to be stretched on either side of the ELO for protection from the sun and rain. An onboard compressor can be used to inflate swimming aids, SUP boards, or bicycle tires. The ELO also supports V2L technology, meaning it can power electrical devices.

The public presentation of the Citroën ELO will take place on January 9 at the Brussels Motor Show.
