Range Rover has introduced a new mirror paint finish, handcrafted to achieve an almost glass-like gloss with exceptional depth of shine. It is available for all Bespoke glossy paint orders and is designed to convey the purity and sophistication inherent in lacquered leather and polished stone. The new technology is available for the personalization of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport exteriors.
The launch of the mirror finish was the final touch to the most vibrant year in the brand's history for the Bespoke program. In 2025, Range Rover recorded a record number of individual orders and special series. Among them is the Range Rover Fifty-Five Edition, created in honor of the original green 1970 Lincoln Range Rover, as well as the Range Rover Asilomar, inspired by the blue shades of Monterey Bay. This version features a two-tone body and individual hand embroidery in the cabin.
The mirror paint is now available for order on Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. To create the most advanced painting process in the brand's history, the company launched a separate research project aimed at replicating the transparency, gloss, and smoothness of luxury materials.
Building on the brand's traditions of design, craftsmanship, and personalization, the Bespoke team set a new quality standard. The technology involves applying a thicker top coat of lacquer and significantly longer polishing stages. As a result, surface smoothness increased by 25%, and the gloss achieved a pronounced, almost glass-like effect.
The expansion of Range Rover Bespoke manufacturing capabilities in 2025 enabled the creation of specialized chambers for complex manual painting. Now every Bespoke glossy paint order receives a mirror finish without compromise on quality. In the future, these chambers will also allow for working with even more complex shades, expanding the color palette and giving clients more freedom to realize individual ideas.
The entire process of creating the mirror finish is performed by in-house brand craftsmen. The same specialists accompany the car at all stages of painting — from arrival at the Bespoke plant to handover to the owner. The paint is applied, sanded, and polished manually over a three-day artisanal cycle, with continuous surface scanning for smoothness control and defect detection. The final hand polishing of the lacquer layer approximately 15 microns thick ensures a deep and durable mirror-like gloss.
