The previous versions with a power of 45 hp (33 kW) and 65 hp (48 kW) are being discontinued. They will be replaced by modifications to 70 hp (52 kW) and 100 hp (75 kW). Dacia claims that the 100 hp version is "livelier" on the highway. The acceleration time in the range of 80–120 km/h has been reduced by about 20% compared to previous versions.
The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 26.8 kWh has been replaced by a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) energy storage with 24.3 kWh. Despite the decrease in capacity, the range according to the WLTP cycle remained at 225 km. This became possible thanks to the general improvement in the model’s efficiency.
The average energy consumption has been reduced from 13.2–14.1 kWh per 100 km to 12.4 kWh per 100 km. Additional aerodynamic elements under the underbody and a new rear spoiler contributed to the reduction of the drag coefficient.
To improve handling, the platform structure has been strengthened. For the first time in all versions, a stabilizer bar is included in the standard equipment. 15-inch wheels have also been installed, starting with the Expression trim level, and the steering has been retuned. According to the company’s statements, these changes should eliminate the feeling of looseness, characteristic of the previous Spring versions.
The prices for the updated Dacia Spring have not yet been announced.
