A pre-production prototype of the Xiaomi YU7 GT was spotted on the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in Germany, completely without camouflage. The red color, "GT" stickers, and aggressive body kit suggest that the Tesla Model X Plaid will have a serious competitor.
The appearance of the YU7 GT continues the styling set by the brand's first model. Here we see familiar headlights in the shape of water droplets and a highly streamlined silhouette. However, the GT version is not for family trips to the store. The car features a massive front splitter, an advanced rear diffuser, and huge brake calipers painted in the body color. Aerodynamics are developed at the supercar level here: engineers have provided 10 through channels and 19 ventilation openings to optimize airflows.

Powertrain and Dynamics
According to data from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the YU7 GT features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system hidden under the floor, generating a total power of 738 kW (990 hp). The front electric motor produces 288 kW, and the rear motor - 450 kW. This configuration allows the heavy crossover to accelerate to a maximum of 300 km/h.

The system is powered by a 101.7 kWh battery. According to the Chinese CLTC cycle, the range is up to 705 km. Of course, in real-world conditions or during active driving on the track, this figure will be lower, but it is more than sufficient for everyday use. Interestingly, carbon-ceramic brake discs were noticed on the test vehicles in Germany. This indicates that Xiaomi is serious about achieving record lap times.
Dimensions and Market Positioning
YU7 GT is a rather large vehicle. Its length is 5015 mm, width - 2007 mm, and height - 1597 mm with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. Despite the use of lightweight materials, the curb weight reaches 2460 kg, which is typical for powerful electric cars with large batteries. The vehicle has a five-seat cabin configuration, making it a relatively practical choice for those who do not want to sacrifice comfort for speed.
As for the cost, preliminary estimates by CarNewsChina suggest that the price of the novelty in China will range between 450,000 - 500,000 yuan. Converted, this is approximately $65,400 - $72,700. The official premiere of the model is expected soon, and judging by the absence of camouflage in the tests, Xiaomi is already ready for mass production.
