The model, created specifically for Europe, has disappeared from the websites in several countries. There is no formal announcement, but the signal is more than obvious.

Honda is gradually removing the Honda e:Ny1 from its European websites. The model is no longer available in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland.

Meanwhile, in France and Austria, the electric crossover is still available for configuration. Such selectivity usually means one thing: the model is quietly being withdrawn from the market without loud announcements.

Ambitions and reality

e:Ny1 debuted in 2023 as a response to the growing demand for compact electric SUVs. The car was developed specifically for Europe, but it did not receive the expected demand.

The reasons are obvious: competition in the segment has sharply increased, and the model turned out to be not very convincing in key parameters.

Technology without the "wow-factor"

The model is built on the e:N Architecture F platform with front-wheel drive. A single electric motor delivers 150 kW and 310 Nm, while a 68.8 kWh battery provides a range of up to 412 km according to WLTP.

On paper, everything looks acceptable, but there are nuances. Fast charging from 10 to 80% takes about 45 minutes — by 2023–2025 standards, this is no longer impressive.

The situation is further complicated by the choice of components. The EMR3 electric motor used by Vitesco Technologies was not the latest generation at the time of release — its successor appeared back in 2021. For a new model, this seems at least strange.

Price as a key barrier

Initially, in Germany, the e:Ny1 cost €48,000. Later, the price was reduced to €39,000, but even this did not help. Statistics only confirm the problem. In 2023, 266 cars were registered in Germany. In 2024, the number increased to 795 units, but in 2025, it fell to 105.

Without statements, but with an obvious end

Honda has not yet announced an official position on the cessation of production. However, the disappearance of the model from most European markets speaks for itself.
