The Programme Solitaire coachbuilt unit reportedly blends Bolide track-car aggression with Tourbillon grand-touring refinement — and could top $20 million.

Bugatti is reportedly preparing another bespoke one-off hypercar through its ultra-exclusive Programme Solitaire, with a reveal expected sometime in Q2 or early Q3 2026. The new commission would be the third Solitaire creation after the Brouillard and the FKP Hommage — and it could mark the final appearance of the brand's legendary 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16 engine in a hand-built, client-specific build.

What to expect under the hood and in the styling

According to Autoblog, the new model is based on the Chiron platform and reportedly retains the W16 — the same quad-turbo powerplant that has defined every modern Bugatti since the Veyron. Design-wise, sources describe a fusion of two existing models: the aggressive, track-focused Bolide and the more refined, road-going Tourbillon. Styling cues are also said to reference a historic Bugatti, following the precedent set by the FKP Hommage, which paid tribute to the Veyron's creator Ferdinand Karl Piëch.

No official images or specs have been confirmed. Bugatti hasn't commented publicly, and the design details remain speculative — so treat the Bolide-Tourbillon blend as a strong rumor, not a press release.

Scale, price, and who can actually buy one

Programme Solitaire caps production at no more than 2 coachbuilt creations per year, per Bugatti Newsroom. If this new project moves forward on the expected timeline, it would be the first of a possible two 2026 Solitaire commissions, following the completion of the FKP Hommage in late 2025.

Pricing hasn't been announced, but the FKP Hommage cost in excess of €10 million — roughly $10.8 million at current exchange rates before import duties. Given the dual-model design fusion and the bespoke hand-build complexity of this new project, the final figure could push well past $20 million. These cars aren't listed with dealers or offered through any allocation process; they're commissioned directly by ultra-high-net-worth clients through Bugatti's Atelier in Molsheim, France.

Why this one matters

The Tourbillon — Bugatti's newest production model — is already sold out across all 250 units. That makes the Solitaire program one of the very few ways a client can interact with the brand in any transactional sense right now. More broadly, if the W16 does power this new one-off, it's another signal that Bugatti is quietly closing the door on its quad-turbo era before fully committing to the hybridized future the Tourbillon represents. Delivery is expected sometime in 2026 from the Molsheim Atelier.
