The new electric version of the mid-size SUV Chevrolet Blazer has a futuristic design and a long wheelbase. The premiere of the novelty was scheduled for July 18.

General Motors has published the first picture of the Chevrolet Blazer EV electric SUV. The photo shows the top version with the SS index, which stands for "Super Sport". This is a proprietary option package offered by Chevrolet for the brand's models since 1961.

GM did not reveal any specifications or equipment features of the electric novelty, keeping the intrigue until a full-fledged presentation next month. According to rumors, Blazer EV will be offered in single- and twin-engine versions, and the SS version should be the most powerful and all-wheel drive. More affordable trim levels, such as LT, RS and Premier, will be mono-drive and less dynamic.

Sales of the Chevrolet Blazer EV are due to begin in the spring of 2023.
