With these funds, the Return Alive Foundation purchased 20 PD-2 aircraft, as well as 10 ground stations, converted into mobile command posts.
PD-2 is a multi-purpose, primarily reconnaissance unmanned systems of Ukrainian production. Developed and manufactured by UkrSpecSystems.
Taras Chmut, head of the Return Alive Foundation, said that these drones are one of several Ukrainian-made UAVs with a range of more than 200 kilometers. PD-2 has an internal combustion engine, so, compared to electric aircraft, overcomes much greater distances.
- The total length of the PD-2 route can reach 1000 and more kilometers on one tank
- An airfield is not required for the PD-2 takeoff. These UAVs have a chassis and take off vertically
- PD-2 can work in the air for up to 12 hours
- The UAVs are equipped with a high-quality target load. Their cameras have a fivex optical zoom on the thermal imager and a magnification of up to 30x on the day camera. This allows the PD-2 to clearly determine the coordinates of objects in the frame at a distance of more than 5 kilometers
- PD-2 uses military communication standards with pseudo-random adjustment of the operating frequency, maximally protected from the action of hostile means of electronic warfare. This makes the PD-2 resistant to suppression of navigation and control channels
- PD-2 automatically tracks the movement of targets. If, for example, a Russian tank will move in the frame - the UAV camera can automatically move behind it.
"These complexes, all 10, will fall into the hands of experienced, professional pilots. And here everything is simple: PD-2, purchased for millions of people's money, are drones of operational and tactical level. They can not be used in clumsy hands and for any purpose. The PD-2 will adjust the strategically important strikes carried out, in particular, "Point-U" and the American missile artillery HIMARS system ", - reported on the page" Come back alive "on Facebook.
"Come back alive" - fund of competent help of the army. The foundation purchases equipment that helps save the lives of the military, including thermal imaging optics, quadcopters, cars, security and intelligence systems. The Foundation's instructors train sappers, unmanned aerial vehicle operators (UAVs), artillerymen and snipers, as well as train in home care and facilitate secret missions.
