The 2020 Škoda Octavia Combi RS wagon failed the agility test. Bridgestone tires were named as the reason for the failure.

The Moose Test shows how the car behaves when a sudden detour of an obstacle, such as an animal that has jumped out onto the road, takes place. The driver on the polygon marked with cones throws the car first in one direction, then in the other. The route is passed at different speeds to set the maximum at which the car remains in a given corridor and does not knock down cones. A speed of 77 km / h is considered a good result.

The journalists of the Spanish edition km77 sent for testing the Škoda Octavia Combi RS with a 245 hp engine, adaptive suspension and Bridgestone Turanza tires. The maximum speed for passing obstacles was 70 km / h, which is rather strange for a performance version of the popular Škoda station wagon with the RS designation.

According to the expert who was driving the car during the test, the failure was caused by the tires. They did not provide sufficient traction, which prevented maneuvers at higher speeds. Moreover, the organizers of the moose test said that no other car with Bridgestone Turanza tires could pass the test at speeds above 75 km / h.
