The Matrix and John Wick star will be hosting and interviewing for a Formula 1 documentary series for the Disney+ streaming service.

The as-yet-untitled four-part documentary series will focus on F1 Managing Director Ross Brawn, who bought the Honda team in 2009, renamed it Brawn GP and led to two unprecedented championship victories, Variety reported.

Keanu Reeves is already working on the project and doing interviews. Among those expected to appear in the frame are former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo, whom Reeves was spotted with last month, as well as drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. It is reported that Ross Brown is also going to take part in the filming.

The first information about the documentary featuring Reeves appeared last week. The Hollywood actor was noticed at the British Grand Prix, where he told a journalist about his desire to tell the amazing story of the Brawn GP team.

“Yes, we are trying to tell an amazing, wonderful story. When I first heard it, I was amazed. It was told to me by a producer friend who once worked for Ross Brown, and we decided to transfer it to the screens. It was great to learn more about what was happening in Formula 1 in 2009. The world of Formula 1 was extraordinary. He is always like this, but in the year that Brown won, something special happened, ”said the actor.

Disney + representatives declined to comment on the new project. According to preliminary information, the series will be broadcast in the fall of 2023.
