The Prodrive racing simulator consists of a carbon fiber monocoque housing a seat, a 49-inch curved display, a computer with a 12 GB GeForce RTX graphics card, a steering wheel and a pedal box. The structure is encased in 16 layers of birch with a glossy black lacquered finish.
Prodrive Chairman David Richards said that the racing sim was intended to be a combination of modern furniture design and technology for esports enthusiasts. In part, the simulator can be compared to a grand piano, which is not hidden in the corner, but rather put on display as a source of pride.
The simulator was developed by the Callum company of British designer Ian Callum, former chief designer of Jaguar Land Rover.
The Prodrive racing simulator is available to order on the company's website for £39,000 ($47,100). If you are not sure if this product is right for you, you can arrange a trip to the Prodrive headquarters in Banbury to try the simulator in advance.
We add that for the price of the Prodrive game simulator, you can buy a full-fledged car. So, for example, the Jaguar XE sedan is available at a price of 32.2 thousand pounds.
Prodrive is a British motorsports and design company based in Oxfordshire. She creates racing cars for companies and teams such as Aston Martin, Bahrain Raid Xtreme and X44 Team.
